Serial 10 at Hythe ranges

Serial 10 at Hythe ranges is a 600 yard (553m) 18 lane converted gallery range with AMS.
This range uses conventional target frames featuring common circular target. When available the shooting party can make use of the AMS on this range. The AMS is a sensor based shooting/ marking system that detects where a bullet passes through the target, then displays this information on a portable display (computer) connected to each lane. The display builds up a pattern of detected shots for review. If AMS is available, the firing party all remain at the firing point. If not, the shooting party is split in to two groups by the RCO. One group shoots whilst the other group marks the targets. Generally each detail will be between 30 and 45 mins in length. The range features foxholes at the 300m firing point. Firing points beyond 300m require participants to adopt the prone shooting position (shooting mat or equivalent is highly recommended).
